I misunderstood the question. I thought you were asking me if the data was originally 320. The music is from CD. However it was downgraded to 320 for use on my iTunes account. So both the iPhone and MacBook have the same exact 320 music file.

Let us know what you end up getting. I was at one point set on getting a V-DAC or DacMagic, but in the end never pulled the trigger.
