Lets talk about Bourbon

Went by Sam's Club and glanced at the bourbon display. Found this on clearance sale for $40.11. Picked up 4 of them. Almost bought all they had left.

I enjoy Old Barton
I also do a blend of of
Barton, Mckenna and Kentucky Tavern
they all have things about them i like and blend them and it comes out pretty good.

I'm not a collector, nor can I afford $100+ bottles of liquor; I just love bourbon. My go-tos are Wild Tukey Rare Breed, Green River Full Proof, and the best value out there, Early Times Bottled In Bond. Knob Creek 12 Year and Four Roses Single Barrel OBSV aren't bad either.

If you can find it and can splurge a little definitely get a bottle of Eagle Rare. It's the smoothest bourbon I've had to date.

What's the flavor profile? Does it taste different neat vs on the rocks?
I'm pretty unsophisticated - I just know what I like. Any attempt to describe it on my part would probably mislead you.
One of my favorite bourbons is Knob Creek. This is a step up on the scale, and Bookers is a step up from this. If anything I'd say it's a bit less sweet and a little more complex than KC.
I've only had it neat so I can't comment on the difference with ice. I'm a very slow sipper. Al Swearengen would disapprove.

I hear Four Roses is really good but haven't had. I have a hard time with lower proof whisk(e)ys. I find them bland. Probably due to all the years of smoking full bodied and really strong cigars not to mention some sinus issues.

I'm also not a fan of mixing with stuff. I feel it ruins it but I'm still relatively new to the spirits. I was always a beer drinker, then COVID hit. I had given up beer years ago due to carbs and actually wasn't drinking anything for years.

The Weller, Blanton's and Taylor are the only ones I bought. The Taylor was a limited release and I was lucky to get one for $75. They only had 200 bottles to sell that day.
I haven't had Weller and I haven't cracked open my bottles of EH Taylor yet. I had Blanton's once and it was just OK. I think it because I gravitate towards higher proof bourbon.
