Never had the Stagg, but the Four Roses Single Barrel is a regular pour for me. Just opened a bottle of the OSBF version. And one more!
Picked this up today. Now just need 25D which I hear was just released.

I've never had Four Roses. A coworker tells me about it all the time. Looking forward to trying it but it will be a while. Have a lot of unopened bottles to get through before I get to this.Never had the Stagg, but the Four Roses Single Barrel is a regular pour for me. Just opened a bottle of the OSBF version.
I never see you with a pour of any bottleBack to basics. Glenmorangie was the first scotch I ever liked. Been away for a while but picked this up. There are a few others I may pick up like A Tale of Ice Cream and I think A Tale of Spice. View attachment 324947
I can probably make that happen.I never see you with a pour of any bottle
Knob Creek gives me a headache for some reason. It's not bad, but not worth it to me.I would love to try that unfiltered Colonel.
Made the mistake of buying Knob Creek in Maui a few years back. It was $50 I believe. Had to kill it in a few days time with nothing but fruit juice mixers. Hard to drink straight on the beach. I have not had the desire to buy another bottle in quite some time. The Wife loves it.
I still haven't opened any of the E.H. Taylor bottles yet not the Knob Creek. I haven't had those brands before either. I felt like stretching out and giving them a try. The Knob Creek 21yr was bought based off of some reviews. If I don't like them, I'll either try new stuff or stay with the Stagg and Bookers; at least in terms of bourbon.I would love to try that unfiltered Colonel.

Ok, that's a different story. I would try that aged Knob Creek. Probably a lot different than the base model. Bookers is good but very strong.I still haven't opened any of the E.H. That's my problem! Due to sinus issues and smoking strong cigars all these years, most regular whisk(e)y is bland to me. Bookers and the higher proof stuff provide me with the taste I am usually missing. Also get to drink less at a time being so strong.Bookers is good but very strong.
Have you tried Rye? I got a little burnt out on Bourbon and a bartender suggested I try some Michter's Rye and was blown away by the difference in flavor. It was about $50 unfortunately. That's my problem! Due to sinus issues and smoking strong cigars all these years, most regular whisk(e)y is bland to me.
