Lets talk about Bourbon

I like that bottle!
The Tin Cup Whiskey is really neat one. It is totally fresh/clean tasting more like you would expect from a fine Canadian bourbon.

The Tin Cup is a blended whiskey , which I really do like. I like it when two whiskies join up thru a blending.

One is a fine distilled, straight rye from Indiana that is aged before the blend. Placed in oak barrels with a Colorado single malt that is also aged in the same type oak barrels. The marriage of those two distinct different made whiskies turns out a fine and smooth sipping blend.
We all enjoyed it with either ice or just a dash of plain straight spring water.

I normally pass on rye or specialty whiskies. But the color and the aroma just pulled me in. Smooth , just right proof and zero hang over the next day! Yeah.

Found this today in my local ShopRite. Not the best price but not the worst. Completes my 2024 collection.

Found this at Hy-vee today and decided to give it a go. Made a smoked old fashioned. I’ll sleep good tonight after the Millstream and the old fashioned.

Just my $0.02

Sometimes I wish I had the acquired taste but I only have negative memories of “brown liquor” from high school. But, maybe that’s a good thing.

Glad you like it as do I. I enjoyed a nice Hemingway Series cigar shorty with mine
Haven't had the sweet wheat; only the regular. Hemingway natural or maduro? I used to smoke the Hemingway like it as going out of style but nowadays, I prefer the maduro. I think I have a few sungrown and the rosados lying around too. The look very similar to the maduro.

Like a Ninja, BT dropped one more Stagg (Jr) for 2024. Had no idea. Picked this up. Stagg 24D. The Lagavulin is from my wife.

Thanks for the info on Tincup. Have you tried their Rye?

I just grabbed a bottle of WT 101 Rye as I don't think I've ever tried rye whiskey before. Hoping it'll make a decent Old Fashioned in case I don't like it straight. I might get a bottle of Tincup or Tincup Rye next.

WT101 makes a decent OF.

What makes a killer one is Old Forester Rye. You can find liters for like $30. Just make sure you use quality cane sugar or even turbinado in your syrup and always Ango bitters.

Decided to tap into my unicorn bottle tonight. Bruichladdich Black Art 4.1. Note: This is NOT my picture. My bottle is 750ml and my glass right now is filled double what is in this pic. Not to mention, I am inside, it is nighttime and I am watching Frasier. ;)
