There are a lot of others I would like to try but time and price put a damper on trying things. I would love to try Pappy, George T Stagg, etc... but I can't justify the price. I'm more of a scotch guy but the higher abv bourbons appeal to me. Most of the lower standard 40ish% don't do much for me; well at least for the ones I have tried.
I can inventory what I have and PM ya. We could or I could send ya some.
Nah man, I appreciate it though! As much as I have been buying, it will take me years and years to get through what I have. It's not like I drink a lot, but I had to cut back on what I do drink. But, if you are ever in Northern, NJ stop by for a taste.

What did you pay for it if I may? It's a good solid bottle as long as you didn't pay too much.
$70. Should have been cheaper but I have only seen it at 2 stores and both were the same price.
High end, but it's that time of year for Buffalo Trace. You'll enjoy it.
It always just taste so young just as Buffalo Trace taste.
The 10 year is way more enjoyable than the "Budweiser of Bourbons" that BT is. I gravitate toward the more esoteric offerings of the distillery though.

I'd love to have some Pappy but man, I ain't spending over 4k for a bottle. I don't make THAT much money. And if I did spend it, my wife would kill me and drink it herself.
Pappy is a little overated IMHO. Don't get me wrong, it's very good. But not as out of this world as it has been made out to be, especially pricewise. Want something really nice and wheated in the same vein as Pappy? Get a bottle of W.L. Weller Antique 107. It also has barley malt in the mash bill just like Julian's stuff. Way less expensive and has that great caramely vanilla undertone with the floral and fruity notes. Good stuff and a staple on my bourbon shelf.

This will be my second time trying it. It was ok last time. Maybe it will be better this time. My friend loves it. Had him over to try some Booker's 2023-02 (or was it -03) and he liked the Double Oak better. I like the Booker's better.

We went thru a bottle of Tin Cup whiskey in the last couple of days. First time trying it out. Found it to be very good for a kind of cheaper priced whiskey.
I like that bottle!
