Ha! What if he was a big as a condor, and one day you spotted Fluffy impaled upon a tree?
Anybody heard of this little fellow before?
He's kind of rare, I suppose.
In Australia they have a bird with similar habits, though that one's a diffeent species, I believe.
The Shrike it is. Interesting example of being what you want to be. No talons like a hawk, so he impales his chosen prey on thorns so he can rip it apart later.

That's pagolin, XS is right...I kept thinking of the word "pagoda" and knew for sure it wasn't right...a pic of that thing hung in my class room in 10th grade, where we had zoology lab ... still remember it...
