Hi

Any one using the Liqui Moly oil below, I proposed to use in 1995 Holden V6 at 280000kms.

I am not sure about the moly content, the ozzie website says it as the approvals listed below.

Liqui Moly
LEICHTLAUF MOS2 | 20W-50
SPECIFICATIONS:
ACEA A3-04/B4-04 / API SL/CF

High Performance mineral based oil with MOS2 high load protection for classic, muscle & competition engines.

Are you burning or leaking any oil, because with 280K km it might be time to move to one of the major brand High Mileage oils, like Castrol GTX 20/50 High Mileage. If your oil consumption is low then the LM oil is a good one in a hot climate.

The approvals are out of date and not all that meaningful. The oil will be fine though.

High mileage oils are not that popular in Australia.

My point was you'd hope the oil is better than what the approvals suggest. Just about all oils sold today will be far better than what they were when your vehicle was new.
