What I look for is a minimum TBN of 4.0, along with acceptable oxidation, nitration, total solids and viscosity numbers. It is the combination of these that tells me the engine is still staying clean inside.
Blackstone labs seems to come in high on used TBN, so I'd use a minimum TBN of 6.0 from them....
