I'm looking for the lowest price per gallon 15w-40 that meets CES20086. If a thread for this already exists, I apologize and please delete.

Please post any deals that may be going on. Since I use about 18 gallons/year, I'm constantly looking for a deal that is $10/gal or less.

Thanks.

Its sorta hard to find name brand 15w40 under 10$ period let alone CES20086 rated 15w40.

but with a MIR.

Walmart is under 12$/gal and has a 5mir currently, limit 4 per address.
also can do 10$ off the 2.5Gal container which is 31.xx limit 4

Finding oil at that price is wishful thinking unless it's on clearance. A few members have made big scores on 15W40 from Walmart in the past buying online.

Mobil Delvac 1300 Super is $11.87 a gallon at Walmart in store.
I'm a semi mechanic BTW.

or MIR as I mentioned above you. 2.5gal for 22 after mir..
that would net 10gallons for about 87+tax
or 4 gal for 28+tax

of course tax is on the pre-rebate amount.

tractor supply traveller 15/40, i regularly pick this up for 40$ per 5 gallon bucket when it's on sale. normal price is 53 i believe.
This is the last oil that I have purchased for $8 - $10/gal. Purchases were over the past 3 months.

I used to purchase oil by the 55 gallon drum for about $7/gal. The last drum I purchased was Purus 15w-40 from a local A and I distributor.

What is a Cummins CES 20086?

** CES 20086 refers to an API CK-4 approved oil like Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-30, Delo 400 XSP SAE 5W-40, Delo 400 XLE SAE 15W-40, Delo 400 XLE SAE 10W-30 and Delo 400 SDE SAE 15W-40; CES 20081 refers to an API CJ-4 oil. Cummins Diesel Engines. Cummins Diesel Engines.

This should give you plenty of choices.

Agreed. I used to get wrapped around the axle about brands, VOA's, UOA's, etc. and then came to the point that if it meets the Cummins spec, it's good enough for me, regardless of brand.

Napa diesel oil is made by valvoline and has that and ford approval.

Delvac 1300 for the win. $11.87 at Walmart before the $5 mail in rebate. I got some friends and family to buy and use their address for the rebates, so I've got a year supply (~20 gallongs) for under $8/gal.
