I accidentally added 3 oz of LC into my gas tank instead of the 3 oz of FP I usually use. I haven't noticed too much difference to be honest. My mileage seems to be the same. I can't see it being a problem, but I just wanted to make sure.
It's been used for severe cleaning, but is not recomended. LC contains Phosphorus so it would be bad for your cat if you used it in your tank. Probably wouldn't hurt anything just once though.
It sure wasn't done on purpose. I just grabbed the LC-supplied bottle that was filled with tan colored liquid instead of the orange colored stuff in the other LC-supplied bottle. I guess I need to slow down and actually think about what I'm doing once in a while.
Won't harm a thing except the reduction in MPG you noted. Waste of product.
LC levels of organometallics are well below the 0.1% limit set forth by EPA even if you used 100% LC in the tank. At 1 ounce to 5 gallons treat it is less harmful than the fuel you buy that just came through a common pipeline!
It does not harm or negatively affect emissions or emissions catalysts in over 4 years of testing.
