Got my first gallon of FP (and LC) today!

I'm holding off on the LC for awhile, but I decided to dose the car with FP.

Not sure what I was thinking, but I added 4oz. to my lowish gas tank....uh hey Paul, you idiot it's 1 oz per 5 gallons!

The tank holds about 15 gallons and I figure there is about 5 gallons of gas...and 4 oz. of LC.

What's gonna happen?

FP is more viscous and less volatile than I expected. Interesting aroma.

Thanks sbc! Yeah I even printed that report before and forgot about it.
I also had a typo...I put in 6 oz, NOT 4!

But I drove the car to the gas station just now. No problems!

Make sure we get a full report of your first impressions!

I am using Lucas UCL right now, and it seems to work OK (slight MPG increase). I am anxious to know if FP is as good as some claim.

OK. I will watch MPG, butt dyno, etc...the car (245 Volvo Turbo, 1985, 241K miles) generally has been running great, I'm not looking for a fix...but with a turbo and no knock sensor anything that actually improves the (krappy pump) fuel helps.

Pablo,
What you did is what Terry calls a "hot shot".Terry's "Hot shot" is 2oz per 5 gallons every 10 tankfulls.I'll give Odis a call and get his opinion.
If it really bothers you,re-fill your tank when it's 1/4 down a couple times(minus FP).

I have been using FP for a couple of months now and I like it! I always round up to the next 5 gallons even if it is 4 gallons till the next 5(11 gallons of fuel=3oz FP) just to make sure it is strong enough.

I think it'll be fine. I was worried...it just seems "un fuel" like and thick (it is cold). But the car is running fine....probably will clean like a white tornado....

Pablo,
I just got off the phone with Odis.He said that the worst you did was waste a couple ounces of FP.Apparently, any FP more than the fuel can take will just be blown out the exhaust. He was not even close to worried about the slight overdose.

There are some interesting tests about to be made public.

rugerman1 beat me to it, but just to reemphasize, there should be no ill effects. Another great thing about FP.

You filled the tank afterward, so you now have ~6 oz of FP in ~15 gal of gas, yes? That's nothing to worry about- in fact, it's close to ideal for a "shock treatment"(extra cleaning) for the first dose. Next tank, you could drop back to the std dose of 1 oz:5 gal. I consistently get about 1.5 mpg increase in my car, say, from 33.5 mpg w/no FP, to 35 mpg with FP. That alone pays for it, plus a little more.

The car DID run REAL nice this AM on the 18 mile commute to work.....so it must be nicely mixed with the 15 gallons of fuel.

Too soon to proclaim a miracle yet.

First let me gently say:

FUEL POWER ROCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Holy batfart batman...ZERO ping, nothing but unadulterated turbo foost...WOOOOHOOOOOOO!

I can't really say it's a cleaning effect, and who knows what kind of MPG I'll get, but seat of the pants dyno knows something is going on. My car normally pings at WFO and just is not always getting the best out of the pump fuel at full boost. Not so with the FP in the tank.

Pablo,
When I called Odis and told him about the original question,he had a neat comment:"That boy will be just tickled when he gets the Fuel Power in his tank!".

Of course we need some third party verification along with a detailed analysis spreadsheet to scientifically justify these findings.

Don't we?

No-one was available to receive my order of Fuel-Power, so UPS left their "We'll-try-again-tomorrow.-Thanks-for-making-us-come-all-the-way-out-here-for-nothing." notice and I just noticed that all it said for the package detail was:

Lubecontrol

Now if I didn't know any better, it sounds like someone living here is having 'too much fun.' I wonder if that's all that's written on my credit card statement too.
