larger replacement for PF-44

Hi guys...

newbie here. Just bought a 2003 Tahoe and the oil change bandits have driven me back to home oil changes... car has a 5.3L and the PF-44 is the recommended filter...

But, this thing is tiny... can't find a replacement that gives me more filter. There is plenty of room for a longer filter but am limited to the same diameter...

any suggestions...??? I'd like to have anti drainback valve and a good quality filter...don't mind spending a few bucks on this ride... also... recommendations on the best filter are appreciated... the first I used was a hastings..

Delco PF59 is what you're looking for.

The last poster is right . I switched to a pf59 on my first oil change. Works great and is almost twice the size.

Your same suv in 2002 used the 59, but for some reason in 2003 they changed to the 44 and in 2004 they changed to the 46. No one knows why. I heard somewhere that it had something to do with cold start knock.

I have a 2003 silverado with the 6.0 and it calls for the pf-44. I am happy with the UPF-44 filter. I just bought a case of it too!! Bigger may or may not alway be better.
