Lack of Castrol GTX Popularity

In my neck of the woods it is very popular and either on sale at Auto Zone or Advance and always on sale at Wally. So for the life of me I cannot fathom why it is called expensive.

Oil pricing varies a lot from region to region. Even from one WM to one up the street. When GTX goes on its regular rollback here, its cheaper than Supertech (unless Supertech goes on sale). Syntec is the cheapest synthetic at both CT and WM (except when WM has PP rolled back). Edge never seems to budge from its regular $45 price tag, and is one of the priciest oils here.

Therefore GTX, and lately Syntec to a point, are regular buys based on good value for the money. Though more recently they've been trumped at the WMs here by PYB and PP.
