What are you guys running ? And is anyone running 75-140 , if so why?
It's a rck60 I think for my b2920, spec is 80/90 but some people use other oils, that's what I'm asking about. What model of machine and deck is it? Fluid type is likely deck specific.
My ZD1211 takes 10w30. My G5200’s and 1800 take 80w90.
ThanksI love polls, not sure what the specs are for the gearbox, if its 80w90 then 75w140 would be fine, Amsoil 75w110 would be my choice.
Interesting, thanksMobil 1 Delvac 50, 90W gear oil

No. But if they are crusty and in bad shape they could clean up and start leaking. So someone told me switching to synthetic after years of dino could cause the seals to shrink, true???
I can’t see either or making much of a difference personally. Keep it topped off and run it.It's a rck60 I think for my b2920, spec is 80/90 but some people use other oils, that's what I'm asking about.
Thanks for posting this, I heard people talking about it.When the seal failed on my King Kutter gearbox and dumped all the oil I filled it with this.

That was five seasons ago and it still works fine.
50 is generally a manual transmission fluid. Id go a different route for a bevel gear box.Mobil 1 Delvac 50, 90W gear oil

Never had that happen. And ive run synthetic in just about every engine/gearbox I own. Some of which are 60+ years old.So someone told me switching to synthetic after years of dino could cause the seals to shrink, true???
