I have a Kubota BX2200 that has a 1000cc three cylinder diesel engine with 165 total hours. Its been a great little tractor for me. I currently use Rotella 5-40 synthetic with a Mobil 1 oil filter, I can't recall part number at this moment. I change every two years or 50 hours. Usually the two years comes up first. I'm going to switch over to Mobil 1 Truck and SUV 5w40 oil at the next change (2 months from now)

Just wanted your comments on this plan.

Thanks!

David

I'm using Mobil 1 Truck and SUV in my GR2100 3-cylinder. It works, but it's noisier than when I use Amsoil S3000. Takes longer to crank, too. You might try some Schaeffer's 9000. Your 'Bota should last a looooonnnggg time.

50 hours or two years and two years usually comes first! WOW! I have an 04 Kubota RTV900-R with a 900 three cylinder. I will have owned it for two years in October of this year and it has about ten hours shy of seven hundred already. I have used nothing but M1 T&S 5W-40 in it. Even the first time I changed the oil it got the T&S. And that was with fifteen hours on it. I bought it as a dealer demo and when they delivered it to my house it had 14.5 hours on it. Half hour later the factory fill was dump and the T&S and a wix filter was on. I have not had a single engine problem in seven hundred hours.

I've got a BX22 (same engine) with 850 hours on it. Use Rotella 15W40 in the summer and Rotella 5W40 in the winter. Walmart filters. Still runs great.
PS, you need to use that tractor more

Thanks guys. I know I need to use it more but I can mow my yard and driveway in about 3 hours or less.
