Kohler Command Pro Filter

I currently have on a NAPA Gold 1348
I’ve used those before, but the price didn’t match what you get…the wix/Napa gold are no better than a Fram EG in filtration. I have a John Deere filter on my mower as of now, which is a smaller version of the st filter but with a top bypass. Going to the mp will be a great media area improvement

The standard substandard OEM offering.

no bypass, ecore, fibre endcap, no metal seam clamp, butyl ADBV - likely 50% at 20Micron.

Best thing I can say about this is that it didn't come apart.

Impressed by genset - that was 100 hours of mixed running mostly high temp (100+)

Magnet saw very little material- Ill switch over to mags on the side of the can this next run.

Attached is a picture of the bypass holes in the baseplate for the combo valve. They’re the small ones near the threaded clean oil exit. The oil filter I have in the photo is the Supertech ST3614, which is literally the same filter as the Kohler 5205002, but for $3 at Walmart lol the MP3614 is $5.50 at Walmart and has metal end caps and a top end bypass valve. Also seems to have a thicker baseplate gasket too. The MP3614 should make a nice little upgrade from the ST3614 and the Kohler 5205002

The WIX 51348/NAPA Gold 1348 are fine filters. They do cost a little more than the Super Tech MP3614. My future filter choices will be the MP 3614 or FRAM TG3614. Maybe the STP equivalent, if they are Champ sourced. No Orange Cans for me.

There’s nothing wrong with the Fram extra guard filters. For the price they are great filters
