For this reason more and more manufacturers are recommending new bolts with every repair on certain parts even though they may not be TTY bolts.
We see parts that were once commonly 10 or 12mm thread are now 8 or 10mm in the interest of saving weight. Make sure the surface is clean not rust on it, its a microphone and crap under it will reduce the effectiveness of it.
With regards to this, I was thinking to put a light coating of di-electric grease. What are your thoughts on that?
