I currently drive a 2012 Kia forte with 32k on the clock. I currently have MT85 in for the last few weeks. It felt great at first, but now it's starting to grind slightly going into first at a stop, shifting in reverse, and into second. This mostly happens when its hot outside, (I live near Phoenix, AZ). When cool outside shifting is great, but once it gets hot the grinds start. I am either going back to MTG or trying Motul gear 300. Has anybody run this in a GL4 trance?

my advice is bring it to the stealer.. You have a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty one of the best in the industry

did you read his post? hes having the problem after using redline gear oil.
My suggestion try something else as you mentioned.

Try the OEM fluid.

bring it back to the dealer your still under warranty. Go back to OEM fluids

Yes.
Under normal service, the OEM fluid is a lifetime fill. Under severe service replacement is called for at 60k. Kia will say that there was no reason to have changed the fluid at 32k, so if there are fluid related issues due to not using the approved MTL, it is not a manufacturing defect. Redline recommends their MT-85 for Hyundai and Kia, but they do not have a formal approval form those manufacturers.

if kia tests the transmission fluid and find traces of non oem fluid than you are screwed. "ONLY" use the "OEM" fluid when under warranty.
Manual transmissions, even synchronized ones, really don't like being put in 1st gear while moving.

Years back that was the case but modern ones don't seem to have problems with that .

I've been running Motul Gear 300 in the xB for 32k miles, and it's good so far.
I am positive the clutch is releasing all the way and feels good. I have been driving stick

I have to meet my dad at the kia dealership today since he is getting a timing belt changed in his soul.
Ill talk to a service manager.
I know the problem is not defect or or equipment failure. It drives awesome when its below 90 degrees
