Right on. People on Soul Facebook groups who name their cars but don't know where the dipstick is should carefully read. I still have a number of $10 Valvoline Daily Protection oil, filter and rotate coupons but the Valvoline blend was burning through 1.5 quarts per 5k OCI but my latest ST syn fill doesn't seem to use any.

My reasoning has more to do with the small (1.4) turbo and longevity. I'd prefer a NA 2.O as used in the Kia. I also like buying my oil at Walmart (inexpensively) where VW508 oils aren't found....

I've had too many friends and family have bad experiences with VW cars to buy or recommend one.
