Kendall Elite 5w-30? API SJ??? Can I use for 5k?

I had 6 qts of this laying around and someone said that todays dino oils will out perform this full synthetic. Is it safe to use for 5k in my lincoln? What group is the base stock?

I'd use it without a second thought...........but maybe I'm daring.

Base stock.........if I had to take a guess, I'd say majority PAO. Most full synthetics of yesteryear were.

I used quite a few SJ oils (mineral) for 10k runs and my engine runs fine with no sludge or heavy varnish, so I'd say go for it.

SJ isn't even that old. Go for it. I have SJ Pennzoil Synth in my saab right now.

The engine does use oil (valve stem seals). What should I top it off with when it gets low? It uses one qt every 500-700 miles.
