What's with the inlet holes on the base plate? It looks like there are inner and outer plates with different hole patterns. How many of those inlet holes are blocked off?

they’re not blocked, champ labs used to have a plate that was flush with the top of the threads for alignment. they’ve since done away with it.

One suggestion on these filter cuts is I'd like to see the filter media also cut out & stretched out... See how much media they gave us and what it caught. Thankful for the info in these posts. Just think that extra step would enhance it even more.

Sometimes it’s not even worth doing if filter looks real clean. If from a known slugger/dirty engine or unit I can see doing it.

Unfortunately it's done gratis here as there is no pay like YouTube 😕

Not complaining as more information is useful but not much incentive and most c&p posts here get very few hits.
