Kansas City Chiefs.. back to back winners

The core issue is that we disagree on what the term "sudden death" means in football. The only definition of sudden death in the NFL rules is for regular season games:
  • Sudden death play — where the game ends on any score (safety, field goal or touchdown) — continues until a winner is determined.
The terminology "sudden death" does not even appear in the latest rules for NFL playoff games; however, it seems that your interpretation is that sudden death means as soon as a team establishes a lead in the game. That interpretation is not what appears in the rulebook.

However, I agree that if the Niners had not scored in their OT possession, sudden death would essentially be in effect upon KC's OT possession.
Yeah, call it "semantics" ... but the fact is that the new OT rules for post season play is still a modified sudden death rule (regardless what the NFL calls it) because it still becomes a sudden death game as soon the 2nd team gets ball possession (KC in this case), regardless if the first team scored or not. The only main change is that both teams get a fair chance to score with at least one ball possession. Call it "semi-sudden death", or "fair sudden death". 😄 The sudden death aspect is still there. The NFL doesn't want OT play to go on for any longer than necessary (mainly for player safety), and the new rule at least makes it more fair than the rule that basically gave the team who won the coin toss a huge advantage to win the game before the other team even had a chance to score ... who came up with that crazy logic?

I read somewhere she was wearing some kind of jewelry signifying something. Hard to confirm nor deny with AI and nut jobs posting nonsense, but then again nothing surprises me anymore. It was a good game though!
These days, the whole world is turning into a conspiracy theory generating machine, which seems to fool many people who seem to believe anything without verification, but it's good for tin foil sales that will undoubtedly increase exponentially in the future. 😂

Did anyone notice the Satanic themes at halftime and in Taylor’s booth?
I had to Google it ... it's just more lunatic fringe conspiracy theory rhetoric from the people who are threatened and afraid of the Swiftes. Their rhetoric is laughable, and will just end up backfiring in their faces. At least it makes for good late night and SNL satire. 😂

The game is in the books, regardless.
Having said that, I read RayRay MacDonald could have fallen on the ball instead of trying to advance it on the 49er fumble of the Chief's punt.
If you have ever played football, you learn the 1st thing is to protect the football. He knew tacklers were upon him.
This may have been the turning point; if so the 49ers shot themselves in the foot.

My wife has been very patiently watching football with me for ~25 years. Her understanding of the game increases each year but her passion is largely at a casual level... But good heavens, when there is a live fumble and the players are trying to scoop it she will engage with the television; "FALL ON THE BALL! FALL ON THE BALL!" The players will inevitably bounce it out of bounds, killing the play. She'll calm herself and then, in perfect synchronicity, we both say "He shoulda fallen on the ball."

Parade here tomorrow.. I work two blocks from the parade and union station but not sure if I'll go down. Supposed to be in the 60s tomorrow.. a lot warmer than last years!

The blonde rapper was wearing an upside down cross ...
Look closer at the photos showing it on her, I wouldn't call that a real upside down cross as the proportions aren't quite right. If course conspiracy theorists would probably take it that way. People being sucked into what the fringers want you to believe for their obvious agenda.

Well, this went shockingly far off the rails, with over a dozen posts of conspiracy theory, on religious symbolism, and religious bickering. With that many posts in violation of our standards, this thread is locked.
