Bought this filter on amazon as $3.xx for the 2.4L lancer. Currently have the older high flow version installed. The new version has smaller inlet holes and feels lighter. It’s still made in USA. New version also lacks plastic cover that covered the seal.

should be just fine. a good price nonetheless. i wish kn had filtration numbers though but i have a feeling to get the flow they want its probably 40 microns at 99%

The plastic end covered ones were actually made in China (Premium Guard style), these are made by Champ Labs, unfortunately efficiency is apparently a “trade secret”! If I had to guess, I would go with 99% @ 30 microns, like the very similar Super Tech 20K mile filter.

I bought three of these on sale at Amazon awhile back for $3.44 each. Went to use one today on my 2020 Acura TLX and it would not thread after several careful attempts. The starter groove of the filter doesn't look like it was cut right. Champion Lab made? I emailed K&N. Waiting to hear back.

Do you have a 3/4 16 bolt around somewhere? I'm wondering if champ just slapped the wrong label on these filters like they did with some of their champ labeled filters a few months back.

Or if you have a Toyota, just see if it would thread on there.
