K&N oil filters. Whats the general opinion?

I ordered a couple of filters for each of our cars, just to try them. They are around $11.00 here plus tax. Getting them for $9.00, no tax and no shipping seemed like a good reason to try them.
The ones for my Ranger look great.
The ones for my Hyundai are about the size of a shot glass
. They are very solid, but so small. I'm going to run them anyway, they should be OK since I only run 5K OCIs

Im not sure... it has a cheapish looking black rubber ADBV... shouldnt it be silicon for that price?
Is there any hard evidence that they FLOW LIKE CRAZY?
I will concur, that the **** shell is built like a german tank and give the feeling that its 1/4 inch thick all around! Im so tempted to buy one, but very expensive!

Funny thing, I ordered 2 for each car. For my Ranger, one has a black ADBV and the other has a silicon. Both of the "shot glass" filters for the Hyundai have silicon?
I guess they must be making the move to silicon, and I just happened to get one of the older ones?

The one that I get for my SHO doesnt have the black ADBV. Nice good silicon.
