K&N Lifetime Oil Filter

I see that K&N has partnership with PurePower and now K&N is selling a lifetime oil filter.The same one sold by PurePower.I have one from PurePower and I see that any good regular oil filter will do a better job.One you install one of these lifetime oil filter it gives you better performance but the filtering part can not be great.
I know small aircraft and other companies use these filters but I would love to see these engines after long term use with these filters.These filters have been tested from other labs but i do not trust these filters.They sell for $179 from K&N and $200 from PurePower.Joe

It's "cleanable/reusable".

It will fail eventually.

I'll keep doing what I have been. Cheaper (short term) and easier to change than clean.

A lifetime oil filter is like a bearing that is "lubricated for life." It has a lifespan like anything else.
