2012 Jetta 2.5. PS-7010 is the filter in question. Decent? Price is attractive and my OCI is no more than 7.5k. So, just looking for a good combo of price and performance. Input is appreciated.

It's probably good, what price did it find it for? I agree that it is probably made by Hengst or Mann.

The Mann product would also be good, probably around $10 on Amazon.

AAP...not in stock, but they claim they are like $4...I may just order a few, as I have not found them near that price anywhere.

Mistyped....$8. Still...I think that's a good price for what seems to be a good filter.

I have never had any problem with Hengst filters. Not sure if it applies to all their filters but the one I have for the Pathfinder comes in a rather nice satin finish, and I prefer that to the white of the K&N filters.

If the K&N is a Hengst or Mann it is a good quality filter no doubt about it.

Especially as most of their products are made in Germany, though some Hengst are made in Turkey.

The whole point about buying a K&N oil filter, is the strong can, and "nut". Unless it's cheaper than others (Wix, OE, etc.), I wouldn't pick it. I thought about it when I had a 2.3L Ford, but K&N was much more expensive than others.
