K&N Air Filter gets my thumbs up

I use the stock Ford OEM Marauder paper air filter.

K&N style filters belong on the race track. The extra air flow is great but you have SOME minor filtering ability, it's better than running no-filter.

The cone filters work great as hot-air induction filters and totally screw up your MAF air transfer function. Enjoy.

I've been using a K&N in my Jeep and its been fine. A lot of Jeep UOAs with K&Ns look fine as well. I just cleaned mine out today and it was super super dirty. The throttle body was dirty but after 10K miles, it always looks that dirty. The Jeep drives great! The true test will be my road trip to Seattle this summer.

I got paranoid after readling all the bad K&N notes on here (again) and went and check my throttle body and MAF sensor - did the clean paper towel wipe - and it came back clean. No noticable amount of dirt immediately past the filter. I will just leave my K&N style cone filter in and sleep well.
