Last July I ordered a 2019 BMW convertible,, and we really like it. I wanted a new 2021,, wasn't one available,, so I ordered the 2019 with 22,500 miles on it. We both are crazy about it--- then-- I decided to get a new one-- so, we ordered one last Friday. I REALLLY think we will love the new one also, at least I'll be out of the car buying business for a while.....

I've never owned a convertible and surprisingly I don't gravitate toward them. BUT I certainly do have an affinity for targa and T-Tops! If you are in Mississippi as your avatar states, you should get a long season with the top down! Enjoy it in good health.
Is this the 4 or 2 series?
I'm always amazed people outside of California and AZ buy convertibles. Don't get me wrong, some look fantastic with the top down, but I get claustrophobic in them when the humidity is high and the sun is just beating down. Nothing more aggravating for me than sweating in a car seat.

It's the 4 series convertible, the same as what we have now. ..We both really like the top down.

Dear Sirs,
I have always wanted a BMW but have never had the financial resources to afford such a nice car. I was on your web-site yesterday and noticed that you have a section called “Build Your Own” and figured this is my chance but I did not see any prices that looked appropriate to justify the effort of building it myself. The prices I saw looked almost as high as the ones at the dealer that are already assembled !
If you could would you please send me the price for the 535i and please include the price for the assembly instruction manual if it is not included. I guess I should also ask the cost to ship all the parts to me as I know freight costs can be very high. You don’t ship by air do you? I know that would be very expensive!

The "Build Your Own" feature on our website is a tool some customers choose to use in order to configure a vehicle to their specification. They then discuss that configuration with a client advisor at an authorized BMWcenter. The client advisor places the order and then the vehicle is built in one of our factories. Unfortunately, we do not offer a purchase plan in which a customer can assemble the vehicle themselves.
The BMW Customer Relations and Services Department is available Monday through Friday from 9:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M., Eastern Standard Time. You can reach us at 1-800-831-1117.

Hats off to you. I almost bought a Z4 a couple of years ago before my wife said "Oh really, you complained all those years about being hot in my convertibles and now you want to buy one.? No way mister!"

I take my 135i in three+ seasons… as long as there’s NO salt.
AC works perfect, heat too. No issues whatsoever.
The issue is summer tires in the cold/winter.
I really love convertibles. Leaving work late in a Florida evening is glorious with the top down, the (slightly) cool air blowing around me and the stars above clearly visible.

Ya. I can't handle the heat and fishbowl feeling. One time I road from GA to Orlando in a convert mustang and I was exhausted beyond belief. Felt like I was in a sauna the entire way.
Top up on the majority of the rt 95 trip

It’s not that hard
Just because you have a convertible doesn’t mean you’re forced to put the top down.
