Myself and a buddy of mine paid $6 a box at a local NAPA where the scout set up shop. What was your experience?

Look closely, what gives? Also in the pic is the cookie boxes broken down for recycling. Yep, pallets of them. Image from SC.

So far I've seen $7 at one table in my area. And the weird thing was that some didn't even come in boxes, but wrapped in polyester film. When did that happen? It's been cardboard boxes as long as I can remember.

Must depend on the cookie. I ordered 3 kinds. 2 types came in boxes, 1 wrapped in film.

Guy I know that is helping his daughters sell them said they're all $6/box now. Last year some were $4 and some were $6 but I'm guessing they made it easier to make them all one price. I'd think the price is set at the national level too so they should be the same everywhere.

The more important thing to realize is, the troop only gets about $1.50 of that money and they're no longer allowed to take cash donations in lieu of buying cookies (where they'd keep 100% of that money).

$6 here. If there's a bad neighborhood where they're cheaper I think the girls should get the difference as hazard pay. ;)

We stopped buying GS cookies years ago, especially after they kept getting smaller and smaller. We now purchase items our local troop needs instead of the pittance each box brings. We are Eagle Scout parents and endured many a day of our son trying to sell popcorn and the disappointment of rejection when no one was buying. Builds character I suppose, but still.

Excerpt from New York:

The Girl Scouts Heart of the Hudson council has increased their cookies to $7 a box.
In a random sampling of Girl Scout chapters from across the country, we found that cookie prices were mostly between $5 and $6. Girl Scouts of Eastern South Carolina was the cheapest at $4 a box. The few councils we found to be selling cookies for $7 were in affluent communities in Nassau County, New York and Northern California. Even large cities like Boston, Dallas and Chicago are still selling cookies for just $6.
