Just got another scam e-mail

It’s been a busy week for the scammers. My inbox has been getting bombarded with fake emails from UPS, Costco, Home Depot, Hello Fresh, Amazon, etc. On my iphone, I just click on the fake email address and the real persons email address shows.

I get fishing emails everyday. I delete them, I dont even give it another thought.
If you have outlook/live/hotmail you can even report it as fishing.

If I think something looks genuine I delete it without a second thought too.
All one has to do it go to the website on their own (in this case you Amazon account) and check yourself.
Never click a link in an email. Never use a phone number in an email. Never respond to an unexpected email either.

(not you)
But for some reason people think they have to pay attention to unexpected emails and they click and respond!!! Why???
Because it sounds convincing. Even if it is real, trust me, they will find another way to contact you BUT again, if something looks real, easy stuff! Just contact the company yourself without using any contact information in the email, look up the contact information yourself.
Countless people give up banking information in this manner. I have first hand knowledge of this, we would have to close their accounts.
The good ones are just so convincing people just go with it instead of being diligent by contacting the company on their own.

Same with phone calls, I dont even answer my cell phone anymore. my iPhone silences any phone calls wow are not in my contact list, they can leave me a message if they want.

I dont know, for some reason in our electronic age people feel obligated to respond to unexpected emails, phone calls. Humans, amazing creatures. :o)

Yeah, I've been taken by scams several times. Several. I forget that they happen in cycles.

Avoid. cashapp and Social Media....

Step 2 - You're being too nice. Just hang up.

Treat them like debt collectors....
I get at least 5 calls a day on home phone + 2-3 on cell that I know it is not anyone I know. Especially when they do not show their ID.
Think about it. Who would have a reason to block their phone ID. I DO NOT answer. Yet lots of times I will block my number and dial back. You know 90% of the time it is reported as a number not in service. They have some sneaky criminals out there who know how to do just about anything.

I've gotten virtually the same email. I suppose they are trying to steal credit card or DL number. Ignore with confidence,

I've also allegedly bought 6 iphone 13's within the last three months. I like to string those guys along until they ask for some identifying information and then tell them anybody who is faking their phone number to look like a local number (we live in a very small town) is obviously a crook so they know what they can do with the iphone.

They really prey on the very old folks. My elderly mother in law will just about pass out in a fit if ANY phone rings (her house / mine...) if someone does not jump and answer the phone! OMG.... I keep hounding to her.... Those strange area codes, those fake numbers with our area codes that have the ID blocked.... DON'T ANSWER!!!! She is so afraid to miss a phone call.... YES, she been scammed a couple times already. We can't jail her:unsure: so all we can do is TRY to protect her from herself.
