I have a chance to buy one. 6 hp Kawasaki with pressurized oiling and oil filter, 3 speed self propelled, 21" aluminum deck with bagger or mulch capable with a mulch plug. These were made by Eastman industries for JD. Steel wheels with replaceable tires, zirk fittings on the wheels etc. These were marketed for commercial applications and sold for $1,200 when new. I have a JD 14 sb and a JD JX75 which are great mowers, but have always wanted the Eastman built JD. The seller is asking $200 but it seems like a good deal for such a high end mower that's built like a tank. This thing weighs 125 lbs, but nothing made now afaik can compare. I missed out on a Eastman equivalent a few years ago. Is anyone here familiar with this mower?

Very nice mowers. I've only seen one or two in person and rarely see them for sale. I could see that weight taking a toll on you depending on your usage. If it's something you want, for $150 or so, why not!

A few pipe reducers from Lowe's, and it will be barely noticeable.....

Cool to look at and appreciate its engineering, not actually cool to use. Too heavy, too cumbersome, wears you out.

I've owned them all (literally)(I bought and sold mowers for 3 years as a hobby and to make money, have owned hundreds of them)

AND I highly recommend the Toro Super Recycler with personal pace for a "user" mower that you'll actually use and appreciate and it wont wear you out.

I've gotten them in great condition for as little as $5 on Craigslist. A typical nice one will set you back $75-$125, WAY better mower than anything new, and well, any 21" mower period.
