Thanks for the support.

Another option(s) if you have an Amsoil dealer nearby is one of their 'stouter' 10w30's - ACD is one, but ASE 10w30 (small engine), the 10w30 'watercraft' oil, the 'motorcycle' 10w30, and RD 30 10w30 'racing oil' are all 30 weight choices that have high AW levels in them. Might want to look into those....

Amsoil HDD 5w30 is a 5w30 HDEO; but it has SM-additive levels.

Still a very, very stout oil!

Castrol makes 'Ellixion' 5w30, but it is not 'S' rated at all - it's strictly a diesel oil with like 1600ppm on Zinc and Phos. in it. IF you're car doesn't burn a lot of oil, it would work w/o causing problems...there is a used oil analysis on here from someone who used it a couple of times.....

HDD is CI-4+/SL it exceeds the CJ-4/SM limits. DMO & DEO are CJ-4/SM oils.

This afternoon I did an 'emergency" OC, I went with Rotella t 10w30 cj4 and a purolator which is locally available at SANEL Autoparts. Car is smooth, powerful and quiet. So much for Castrol Syntec! BAH! I think Im no longer a synner or a 5W-XX guy. Until the next time . Now to figue out why my transaxle is making a racket... The amsoil guy has to special order the HDD or ACD.
