There will be washing a lot of road salt off of these rental cars. Irate customers as well. If your goal is the military, reserves are best bet and pays for school.

Had my phone interview today, and passed. I get a 1-on-1 interview early in the week. I was also confused. I will be working for enterprise HOLDINGS, which owns Enterprise, Alamo, and National. I will be working for the Alamo and National parts. Not the enterprise part. I will likely be going for the Return-agent position. Full time with benefits, 35-40 hours per week, at $10 per hour. Not great, but much better than worst buy, and it will allow me to start going back to school once I have a bit of cash saved up.

Yep. Enterprise has been more than just Enterprise for some time now.

If you get the job, you'll also learn that there's more to Avis than just Avis. They own Budget as well.

Nick good luck on the job!

I hope you get it because ANY job is better than NO job.

The biggest thing is LEARN from ANY position. It all matters in the end. Be the BEST no matter what you have to do. Don't let people who are having a bad day make you have one.

How does one advance from Return-Agent position? It is too late to sell CDW at that time! I suppose one could point out all the scratches and dents which were overlooked by the selling agent and pad up the bill but I suspect that approach does not work that well when the customer becomes livid :-)

Seriously, best of luck and I hope you get the job.

Do what Dave Ramsey says get a part time job delivering pizzas for 85,000 a year. That guy cracks me up and good luck to you Nick work hard and dont pay the nay sayers any mind.

Any job is better than no job. $10 an hour isn't horrible for an entry level position. Better opportunities within the company will probably show up if you work hard and prove yourself to your superiors. I started out as an hourly technician at my company and within nine months I was promoted to a salaried assistant manager position.

Even with a degree, entry level jobs are usually going to require long hours and hard work. Many of my friends and I found ourselves with salaried jobs that are NOT 40 hours a week after graduating. 50-60 hours a week is more typical for me. Not terrible, but it's very full time. At least if you're hourly you will be getting paid for all of the time you spend at work and may be able to benefit from overtime. Some companies avoid paying OT at all costs though and will not allow employees to work past 40 hours a week.

Take the job, learn the ropes, nose to the grindstone, and keep your mouth shut to fellow employees if you're unhappy....shut tight. They will harpoon you in the back so fast you won't know what hit you.

The military in the future sounds very good but some branches are already cutting back, choose wisely.
