And of course all the while there’s no real evidence that what he’s saying is true. People make and post these types of videos for a variety of reasons not all of which are immediately obvious.
This tool will stop those screw driver days.I used to help a friend of mine with his Honda Civic back in the day with oil changes. One day i had to put a screwdriver through it as it was on so tight.
I understand completely and understand your point of view, however a repair/oil change facility is paid for a service and has a contractual responsibility to complete the job with appropriate fluids, filter and craftsmanship.Maybe the car owner bears some responsibility for driving with the oil light on. I would suggest that there's blame on both sides.
People discuss the lack of knowledge and skill on the part of repair shops and technicians, but maybe the lack of knowledge on the part of vehicle owners plays a part in some situations.
I worked at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change my freshman year of college and graduated with a masters degree. Not everyone working entry level jobs are drug addicts.it's simple.....13-17hr= dopehead living in moms basement who needs add'l money for more dope..
Money. Enterprise Fleet, Hertz, WEX and now Lyft ain’t paying dealer labor rates - or the hour it takes a dealer’s “express” lane to change oil. If it’s not at an airport location, Hertz and Enterprise tend to farm out to Firestone. Lyft entered the service business for their drivers.why does anyone take a new-ish still under warranty vehicle to Jiffy Lube?
strap wrench, improvised chain wrench, one of these ^^ beauties.
Well stated as that reply was way out there...I worked at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change my freshman year of college and graduated with a masters degree. Not everyone working entry level jobs are drug addicts.
Beats me and the oil changes are cheaper at the dealership than iffy lube. They charging $110 for full Synthetic 5qts in Long Island NY they can kick rockswhy does anyone take a new-ish still under warranty vehicle to Jiffy Lube?
Add this when you paste it.Im book marking your response for the "bash threads" so I can reference it.
Thank you!
I have a small strap wrench I saw in the garbage bin behind our business. Looked like it was in good shape so I grabbed it. Works fantastic for oil filters.strap wrench, improvised chain wrench, one of these ^^ beauties.
just not the screwdriver piercing. Did it once, yes, it works but the mess.
I work for a large manufacturer. 44,000 employees. Of which, roughly 14,000 have company vehicles, service vans, shop trucks, etc.Money. The hoi polloi, us included think dealers are expensive. The local Toyota/Honda/Ford dealers are competitive against the quick lubes.
