My Jeep XJ was losing power going up hills. It was also shifting at strange times causing me to wonder what the heck was going on. Idle was fine but I was getting some hesitation out on the open road. The previous owner had left a new TPS in a box in the center console. I saw that yesterday and connected the dots. I installed it and my Jeep runs better than ever. All the clues were there yet no CEL was present.
