Jeep keyless entry

We're having problems with the (factory) keyless entry on our '06 Liberty Sport. Starting recently, it only works intermittently (this affects all functions: lock, unlock, and rear glass). At first I thought it was my remote battery, so I changed it, but the problem remains. The same thing happens with my wife's remote.

I know nothing about the keyless entry system on this vehicle, so any tips would be appreciated.

BTW, several days before the problem started, I replaced the ignition switch actuator assy. Since this problem didn't show up until a few days later, I assume it's unrelated, but I thought I'd mention it.

By no means am I an expert but why not check the work you did?

1) Did you get exactly the original replacement part? Maybe there's some sort of compatibility issue. Or ....
2) Maybe something (the part or anything you had to access to perform the work) worked it's way loose during driving after you replaced the part?

could be what you replaced, but double check the vehicles battery. a wonky battery can shut down some functions of the bcm in chrysler products. mike
