He didn't ask all 5,200. He spent an hour in a public cross-roads. Not a secure campus area. He didn't vet anyone's identity.
He got 50 signatures.
With an unknown number of people declining.
And without knowing that the people he got to sign were either US citizens or Yale students. So, he got signatures equal to 0.1% of Yale student population, without knowing if they were Yale students signing.
He would be laughed out of any court, or any scientific review, for his failure to control variables to get a representative sample.
But if his sloppy methodology is good enough for you to make an assumption, then I'm sorry...sorry for your inability to reason this one out.
Look, if you want to make the point that civic and cultural illiteracy exists on college campuses today, I completely agree.
But this video doesn't make that case.
If this evidence were good enough for you, you would be supporting everything the media (on both sides) tells you...about global warming, about gun control, about "the rich"...but I've seen your posts to the contrary...I know that you apply thought to the claims on one side of the argument.
Why the willing suspension of thought now?
This video may support your feelings on a set of political topics, I get that...but that doesn't excuse sloppy, emotional thinking and blind acceptance of what you're told to believe...
Too many people today render judgement about news items solely on the basis of alignment with their pre-existing emotional and/or political biases. We call them sheep...don't be one of those...
Just believe what you're fed by the mainstream media, they ALWAYS get it right.....ha ha ha ha.
