Is this why the rabbits disappeared?

I’ve been having problems with rabbits destroying my lawn and bushes. So far, I’ve tried castor oil. Works for a while. Now I’m using Cayenne pepper, hot sauce with castor oil, and a motion spotlight. I was convinced it was working past couple of days. Last night, I get a ring alert side of the house. I thought it was rabbits, but then I see this. Check out the image on the side of the house. Creepy.

How do rabbits destroy a lawn?

Scalp patches to bare earth eating. rip out other patches to create nests. I was fine with one or two, but it’s getting out of control. There’s like 10 now.

I have foxes and rabbits in the woods behind my house. There are some horrific noises now and then in the middle of the night.

Big Eastern Coyote?

Rabbit and coyote populations are cyclical. Lotta rabbits line year means more coyotes the next.

We had an owl grab one during the day last year. Lots of screaming as they flew over the house.

I've never seen an owl that can fly grabbing a coyote, I bet it was impressive for sure!

Besides Coydogs and Coyotes (I believe they are different) we've had big birds with big toenails proliferating.
The eagles will grab a rabbit, I hear. I've never seen it.
The Osprey are numerous but they eat fish exclusively, I'm told.
Spotting osprey eating a fish in a tree's branch is common.

This happened in my back yard: A Great Horned owl flew into a wire fence and dropped the prey it had: The prey was a hawk.

I have groundhogs (and racoons) picture me as the guy from caddyshack.
trapped 17 so far.

Lots of those around. Meet them walking the dog.

Lately it's been a large bobcat that's been working the rabbit population. Been seeing him/her in the mornings moving between houses.
