Is this washing machine hose about to blow?

I’m not sure what that has to do with replacing a washing machine hose, but ok.

Your responses are almost like they’re written by ChatGPT.

Like here’s what the AI said when I asked about custom laundry rooms:
I've never used chatGPT. I've heard of it.

When it comes to washer hoses, I just use the black ones and hopefully will remember to replace them when the time comes.

I was just wondering about this. I was going to make a new thread but searched and found this.
My question: How many people routinely replace their washer hoses? If yes, how often?
Has anyone ever actually had a hose or wash machine burst/leak?

Haven't lost a hose yet.

I think new washers come with hoses? Want to say, the washer I left in my old house would have had a nearly 15 year old hose on it. But we bought a new washer for our new(er) house, and I want to say, either it came with new hoses or I bought new ones.

Hadn't heard of doing it every 5 years. Seems short. But I could see wanting to do them in less than 10, nothing lasts forever, and dealing with the mess when it goes...

I have seen it twice.
one. pin hole leak. hoses were around 15 years old.
two. complete failure lucky someone was close by and caught it before much damage was done . hoses over 25 years old.
