I'd be kind of curious to know who pays out in the end. Is this practice somehow insured and covered, or does the dealer eat the cost? Even more curious is what happens to these cars after: are they sold as new units, or pre-owned?
Oddly, that last sentence of mine reads back a little strange: as in a sense, they are still "new" (but not), and not pre-owned (but kind of almost).
