is this a good deal on mobil 1

hello,

i was shopping for oil and i noticed my one of my local stores has a jug (4 quarts) of mobil 1 on sale for 8 each jug.so my question is.is $8 for 4 quarts of mobil 1 10w30 or 5w30 a good deal.

i guess i will go back tomorrow cause they only had a few left.i usually use walmart super tech oil.is mobile 1 alot better then super tech.i always thought oil is oil

Never in a million years would you find a jug of M1 north of the border for even double that price. Jugs of that [censored] are over $40 at all the normal stores. ($41.99)

i look at the Mobil one site and it says something about the jug bottles changing.maybe this is the older model jug.but still i remember it saying 29.99 reg and the sale was $8 and i believe the same quarts said 7.99.

Not true, I bought 4.4 liter jug of M1 10W30 HM for 9.95 at Great Canadian Wholesale Club. It was what started me into synthetic oil. Also bought the same oil at Canadain Tire a while back for $2.50 a liter after sale price and coupon rebate. Posted about it in the sales forum.

Why don't you guys north of the border quite your whining and start shopping when oil is on sale.

What makes it worse is that Staples prices aren't anything special.

Mobil 1 @ $2 a quart is an exceptional deal (but I would prefer PP).

I have never seen non-eurospec M1 in 4 qt jugs.

There's a closeout chain in the NY/NJ area (National Wholesale Liquidators) that sold M1 in gallon jugs.

I would check the raing on th jug as it may be as old as SJ.
