Is there a way to remove your followers?

This was asked a few years ago here with no resolution. Can you remove folks that are following you here on the forum or block folks' ability to do so in the first place?

I thought, why not "block" the random follower, but there's no option for that. We can only ignore other members (we can't see them but they can see us).

They should be alerted to your activity. STOP FOLLOWING ME

How do you know who follows you when that is not displayed on your profile/account? At least I'm not aware who follows me.
But if you know who follows you can just ignore them. Not sure what the ignore button does but it's on every member's profile page, next to the follow button.
