Good Day folks. I ask this because my local record store closed year ago. Is eBay a good place? Have few garage sales to hit today so may try at those places.

ebay , marketplace if your lucky , some retailers like london drugs stock new records.

ebay is always my go to for finding the exact record i want

Best place for random stuff are second hand stores. We have a place called "Talize" that sells 2nd hand clothing and they have LOTS of records. Value Village is another, but their selection isn't as good and the prices are higher.

We also have a few real record stores, but they get more regular traffic and of course have higher prices.

Estate and garage sales are good options, and keep an eye on places like Craig's List, where you may see estate or attic/basement collections going for next to free. Can find some real gems that way.

I know you're not in NYC, but they have several record stores that are just amazing. You can spend hour in there. They may have online options as well. Probably not cheap though.....

Also, don't laugh, but....Cracker Barrell. Seriously. Have found some gems there....

It depends.

Try a couple towns over for locally - we have some local places that give full credit if record has a "hidden" scratch.

Amazon can be OK but like with fleabay read the reviews

What kind or turntable and cartridge?

I see lots of them at Half Price Books. You're likely to find some in your local area used book stores
