Is the Ford Racing M6731FL820 worth buying over the Motorcraft FL820S?

The Ford Accessories website does have sales from time to time that apply to this filter, and comes with free pickup at the local dealer parts counter.. I hoarded a dozen last time around.

Update y’all!
Unfortunately, the one I received from Amazon seller “Purely Power Sports” doesn’t look like the authentic Ford Racing filter so I’m returning it. You can clearly see it’s just a reclothed Motorcraft. Also, look at the last pic with the authentic one. It has 8 round oil flow holes and a thick “blue” silicone gasket vs. the 6 oval holes and a thinner black gasket… I went to my local AutoZone and purchased a K&N HP-2010 instead for $16. I’m never buying oil filters or spark plugs from Amazon again. Lessons learned!

If you are going to spend $16 on an oil filter, buy an AMSOIL EaO.

Yes the outer shell/can is different for sure. Smooth all around. So Purolator makes the Motorcraft? I wonder who makes the original Ford Racing one?
