Its funny we get most of the base from you guys and you get the leftover finished stock. That sucks for you guys, and trust me if anyone believes in any of those warranties, Valvoline, Pennz, you got to be crazy, but then again there is a sucker born every minute. 2 to 3 in the US...LOL
 
It's because the companies are American based and because you are the biggest market for the product.

Because, everytime I go to CT (1 mile from home compare to several for WM), I look at that bottle, as I am very interested in running it, and it really looks like the old bottle.

Question is: Is the new Pennzoil Conventional in the US really new, or is it just a re-bottled / re-marketed Pennzoil Conventional oil?

If the new Pennzoil Conventional is not just a marketing thing, we definitively got the old formulation (same bottle and stickers for a long time now) to get rid of before getting the new one.

That is the part that [censored] me off the most with CT sales.
They seem to be so retarded, I don't get it.

The other thing is the so little choice of 0wXX oils: Are we not supposed to be the ones needing these oils the most on this continent?

Oh Ok, I got it now. I thought it might have something to do with the metric system, the colder climate, and gun laws.
 
I checked my local Walmart this morning and there was no sign of the new Pennzoil Conventional there at all, just the old one. Pricey too, $17.97 for a 5 quart jug!

I'll check out CT sometime this weekend and see if they have new Pennzoil Conventional or not. If I can't find it before the Honda's next oil change (which will be in November) then I'll either go with GTX 5w20 or stick with the Toyota 0w20 again.

Yes, I'm sure it has been reformulated. Don't know the answer as to why it takes so long before things happen in Canada.

That is what my memory was telling me, thanks for the confirmation.

Now, we just have to wait... but if we wait, the old formula won't get used, so we won't have the new one, grrr!!

PS: Doesn't mean the old one is not good, just that the new one is better, so, for the same price, I may prefer the new one.

Patman, I'm at a loss as to why you want to go back to a dino in the Honda, I thought you were delighted in the lack of cold start-up noise with the Toyota 0W-20?
Particularly for winter use, the relatively cheap Toyota oil is so dramatically lighter than a 5w20 conventional at start-up it seems the ideal choice to stick with it.
 
Or, ask StevieC very nicely to pickup a jug of Castrol Edge 0W-20 for you on one of his frequent jaunts across the border.
Then you could be the first Canadian to try this stuff and also likely still be the first to have a used oil analysis done on it.

Just an idea.
