I remember Pennzoil conventional used to claim it would clean up to 15% sludge after first oil change. PP claimed something like up to 40% sludge clean up after first oil change. It seems the new PP labels no longer make that claim and instead mention keeping pistons clean up to 40% of industry standard. Claim is still on their site for Pennzoil conventional, but not for Pennzoil Platinum / Pennzoil Ultra as well as on the labels for any of them at Walmart.
