Is my low mileage V6 Accord a good candidate for VRP or a HM oil?

2014 V6 Accord with a manual transmission. Only 28,000 miles on the odometer. Currently running Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W30. Currently 3650 miles since my last oil change, and I've lost about 0.75 quarts of oil. This seems excessive to me considering the low mileage and age of the car, am I right? The low mileage of the car (I've had it a year and a half) tells me it may have spent some time sitting and maybe developed stuck piston rings or something. Engine is dry and clean so I don't think I have a leak.

This last oil change was my first with the PUP 5W30. The oil does seem to be darker than it was with the 0W20 Kirkland that I ran in it before, and I'm inclined to think maybe the PUP is cleaning up some of the deposits.

Curious about the opinions on here about whether I should give the Pennzoil another go around and see if I get some improvement, or if I should pull the trigger and make a switch over to Valvoline Restore and Protect?

0.75 quart is quite a bit in 3650 miles on an engine with only 28000 miles. I would use Valvoline R&P for several OCI’s. It’s the simplest thing to try, and there’s a good chance it will clean up the rings and lower oil consumption.
