Same, two birds with one stone.I use the wax that comes in the bottle of "Car wash and Wax". It does a decent job. Then I follow up with detail polish. Who could ask for anything more.,,,

I stopped using any kind of wipe on buff off products many years ago because I hate the white chalky residue that gets left in all of the nooks and crannies. Plus the action of buffing something off will introduce micro marring of the finish over time. For me the wipe on walk away type of products have changed the detailing game. Much faster to use and better protection from the elements. You do lose a bit of the shine compared with a true carnuba wax though
that must be some very expensive tar after the cleaning..zymol would be my wax if i used a carnauba buff off wax.great products.I use Zymol on tar. Put a dab on the tar and wait 10 to 15 minutes. The tar comes off very easily.
zymol? Wasn't that the blue Amish buggy wax that was hard to get off? Seems I remember that name from years ago.since i bought the car i use liquid carnauba wax , i have post it here, from autoglym,
RAPID AQUA WAX
it keeps the car shiny and the rain away.

It seems that the ceramics have taken over the market. They are easier to use, last as long if not longer, and look as good wax, or very close.
I might be one of the last holdouts using wax. Ok, I have to admit that some of my cars have only seen ceramics their entire lives but some cars
are only getting waxed because it's a fun thing to do.View attachment 292528
Amish?? what do you mean?zymol? Wasn't that the blue Amish buggy wax that was hard to get off? Seems I remember that name from years ago.
I've always felt that a nice layer of dirt will protect the paint from the UV ..None of my cars have seen wax (or ceramic) in 20 years. Ain't nobody got time fo dat.
Haha! It's actually very effective. And, since I don't use Zymol on my cars anymore, it's basically free!!!since i bought the car i use liquid carnauba wax , i have post it here, from autoglym,

Zymol is a carriage wax from the 1800's. I just always called it Amish buggy wax because I've seen the Amish folks use it.Amish?? what do you mean?
Any time you touch the paint you introduce micro marring though, no matter how gently you touch it or how soft the towel is. So the less amount of time you touch the surface the better it is for itDepends on the product, and more importantly technique.
Using a compound or rough polish with a power orbital? Not something you want to do very often, that's for sure.
But a synthetic wax applied by hand using a foam applicator? Then excess wiped off by hand (gently) using quality microfiber? That's not going to marr or damage anything.
