Is anybody getting up early just to work on your car and beat the heat?

I got up early to work on my truck, but not to beat the heat though

Good one, LOL. Welcome to the asylum, and please share what your vehicle management is like. 20w50 is probably out.

EDIT: just looked up Iceland climate. Doesn't look too bad for extreme cold.

Yep, I get it to the mechanic first thing at 7:00am with a list of needed work. I wait until the evening when it is cooler to pick it up.

My son and I changed plugs, air filter, oil and filter and an automatic transmission drain and fill on his 2012 Honda Civic. We did it last night at 5:00 and finished at 6:15 and had a couple beers too. It was 86 degrees and hot. I was pretty much beat from the heat when we finished. I had him do the work under the ramps and I helped on the plugs and getting the orrery tools and funnels etc. I usually don’t like to work in heat or cold but he had been out of state for 3 months as a traveling RN and his car needed to be serviced and he works weird hospital hours so we did it together. It was fun but I could feel the heat when finished.

My 65 F100 has been sitting for the last two weeks, and will for the next two weeks, waiting for me to install new radius and I beam bushings. Temps in Concord won't see anything under 90 till August 30th. When one can't get to sleep till midnight one is not getting up early for any reason. Right now 105 outside and thunder last night. This stuff is highly unusual for the Bay Area and I have been here since 1972.
