Is Amsoil business structure similiar to Amway??

I wouldnt like the 4 ball wear test if that was the only test and it was a non ASTM lubricant method. But since it is only one of many test results that Amsoil uses against other named oils, I would rather have it than not have it and make my own conclusions. I find the results interesting and wonder why some oils test well (Amsoil, Mobil 1, PP, most synthetics) and others not so well (Royal Purple, many conventional). The method and apparatus seem simple and seem to test film strength, shearing, wear resistance and additive protection. I think it correlates pretty well with quality base oils and additive packages.
